The fair-complected and muscular Thertald are often called barbarians by their Athran cousins, but they bear on their shoulders a crucial role: that of guarding the Hellgate Mountains against invasions by the monsters to the north.

History[]

Description[]

Thertald humans are tall and muscular, the men often more than 6 feet tall. Their skin is fair but weather-beaten, often blasted ruddy by the harsh winds of their northern home.

Culture[]

The Thertald value the unity of their clan almost as much as their dwarven neighbors do, seeing strength in numbers when danger is a heartbeat away. The clans are patriarchal, each led by the eldest male of a family line, whose job it is to direct his clan through the day-to-day hazards of the mountains and foothills and help each clansman grow into a strong and brave warrior.
