Star Trek: This Mortal CoilEpisode 4: Planet of the Pasty Guys

During the next few weeks, the crew settles into their routines. Do'harra spars in the gym with Adrija (whose evasion and stamina gradually wear him down) and Fitzpatrick, who proves to be the second-best boxer on board. Sandler remains safely incarcerated and no further security incidents occur.

A month after Sandler's confession, the trip to Viliara II is cut short when the Tesla detects a warp signature that isn't in the Federation database. Do'harra alters course to intercept what may be a first contact opportunity.

After nine days of searching the sector of space in which they detected the warp signature, the Tesla finally encounters a five-nacelled warp ship of unfamiliar design orbiting a planet previously logged as Theta Upsilon II. The pilot of the ship, a Hegrellan named Karag Na Vab, explains that they call the planet Hegrel III and that their species is indeed new to warp travel. Karag Na Vab agrees to bring Do'harra's message of peace to the Hegrellan Council, after which he will report back on their willingness to meet the newcomers.
